Journal, day of the Welcoming Feast
Gwyn fell over. We were in the Godswood, talking to Toria and she just fell. She wouldn't wake up. Toria had to carry her until we found a bunch of the men-at-arms and they got Gwyn to our rooms and now they won't let me see her because she's so sick. I'm scared. I don't want to go to the stupid feast, I want my sister. Maybe I can sneak in to see her while everyone else is busy. They won't notice if I ask to be excused, and if Septa Marien's already had too much wine she'll be easy to fool.
It's all mother's fault. She said I wasn't allowed in to see Gwyn. And Gwyn wouldn't be sick if she hadn't been so worried. It makes my head hurt... that's better though! I can start crying and Septa Marien will say I can't go to the feast at all!
Later, same stupid day.
It didn't work. Septa Marien says I'm not sick and I have to go. I hate the feast.
Much later.
Stupid adults. I got to see Gwyn! She was still asleep, and she won't wake up. I told her about the feast, though. I told her it wasn't any fun without her and she better wake up or I won't tell her about anything else. I heard the Maesters talking and they said it's some kind of big fever from somewhere. At least they think it is. One said it's just a fever that children get. What kind of stupid thing to say is that? But they said... they said other things. About the fever. But what do they know? Maesters always talk and talk but they don't ever know anything. ... I want my sister back. I hate this place. I told Gwyn we could go back to Winterfell maybe, if she wanted.
